Details: Kids who want to learn more about coding in a fun and supportive environment can learn with Scratch in this Two-Day Coding Camp. With instructors from Open Hub, kids age 10-14 can learn how to code an animated story with Scratch. They will be able to use these skills well into the future!
Scratch is the world’s largest coding community for young coders that has a simple visual interface allowing users to create digital stories, games and animations. Scratch promotes computational thinking, problem solving skills, self-expression, collaboration, and equity in computing. Students will complete tasks during each class growing and learning about the scratch programming language.
Snack included, bring a water bottle (can be refilled at the library). Parents must sign child(ren) in at drop off and out at pick up. Limited space. Sign up online or call the library.
