Art Gallery 71: Art Exhibit Closing
Art Gallery 71 is honored to feature the work of artist Lisa Pinto.
May 5th thru June 4th during Gallery hours.
Lisa Pinto is a painter and lives with her husband and miniature schnauzer, Gerti, in Red Hook. The beautiful surroundings of the Hudson Valley have been her primary source of inspiration for her work. Her art is characterized by vibrant colors and stylized compositions. Although Lisa is mostly known for her sweet pet portraits, she has taken to abstract landscape painting because of her love of the local vistas. Lisa paints in the mediums of watercolor, acrylic, and oil. Her current collection is in both oil and acrylic paint.
Lisa has exhibited her work throughout the Hudson Valley in both group and solo shows. She has done private commissions for both her landscapes and for pet portraits. She has placed her paintings in the community via restaurants, real estate offices, libraries, and banks. Her artwork can be found in many private residences. For several years, Lisa participated in the “Art Studio Views”, a tour of artist’s studios in Northern Dutchess County. She was on the steering committee of the Red Community Arts Network. Lisa was an original member of the Gallery at Rhinebeck where her work was exhibited. You can see her current work at Art Gallery 71 in Rhinebeck.
“My purpose as a painter is to engage the creative thought of the viewer with pleasing colors, shapes, and forms. Art is said to be of personal preference, but I believe in painting images that bring enjoyment and set the mood for curiosity. These paintings offer the viewer a way to enter the landscapes in an atmospheric way, not a literal one.”
